Catch up post

well, the only real posts i have done in the last few months have been about our birthday's so i decided it's time to do a catch up post about the few other fun things we have done the past few months. the first part of March my mom and sister's and i had another girls craft weekend. this time we did at my sister's house in Preston since she had just had a new baby a few weeks before. we got as much laughing, crafting, eating, and shopping crammed into those 2 days as we possibly could! :)
i'm sure my mom felt abandoned and used the whole time since most of the time she was sitting and quietly crafting while the rest of us were either on our phones...shoving our faces, playing on the computer....or cuddling with precious baby jack!! :)we all did get some crafting of our own done as well...and dawson was ALWAYS wanting to help :)
dawson was wide awake sometime around 6 saturday morning and my sister lacie and i were the lucky ones he woke up. so being the nice aunts/sisters/daughters we are, we took him into his bedroom to quietly play so he didn't wake everyone else up. that morning his most favorite game to play was "camping in mexico." so even after everyone else woke up we still had to play "camping in mexico," we just got to move it downstairs into the living room where we had more space. lol. so here i am driving the "mexican truck" to take dawson camping. this truck even came complete with engine noises. and when my mouth would get tired and i would tell dawson we were there he would quickly tell me we weren't there yet, "just 10 more miles to go" lol....such a funny kid
the weekend after our girls weekend dillon and i were able to go back down that direction to Logan and go to my cousin's wedding and to go to a temple session with shay and aaron and hang out with them and the adorable baby cecily, who isn't so baby anymore! *no pictures...dang it :(* we got to stay with lacie and jake and the twins and luke was loving dillon this trip. he loved to just sit on dillon's lap and play with his mommy's ipod touch.we also got to go with my sister and her boys to see my grandma brough. she LOVED meeting baby jack!April came and i got to take my young women's volleyball team to the regional tournament. in february we won the stake tournament so we got to go to regionals!! i have never even heard of regional young women's volleyball so it was a lot of fun...even though we lost :) it was very stupid tho because they didn't play a normal volleyball game with 2 games to 15 (or whatever) instead they just had us play for 20 mins and at the end of 20 mins whoever was ahead, won. stupid. so our first game we only lost by 1 point and our second game we had to end with only 5 players cuz one of the girls got hit in the face. so overall we were pretty disappointed but still had fun :)
the next weekend we were able to go to the Pocatello Rodeo. unfortunately my camera died so this is one of the three pictures i took. but it was a really fun rodeo with lots of good stock and some pretty good spills
the day after the rodeo we were able to head back down to Preston for baby jack's baby blessing. we just spent the day there but had lots of fun seeing family and once again getting to cuddle with jack! :) *no pictures again...i'm terrible*

And last but not least, dillon got a job! he's just working for his uncle and cousins doin farm work when he has some spare time, but so far i think he's enjoying it. i got to go with him the other day to check gopher traps and actually had a lot of fun! lol. i have never trapped gophers before and it was quite entertaining and educational.
in other news: sunday i got put in as the assistant girls camp director for our ward. dillon's aunt is the camp director so i'll get to work with her planning camp then get to go with them. so that should be fun.

not much else is going on, now we are just patiently(?) waiting for spring to feel like spring so we can enjoy being outside again and are getting super excited for the annual Brough Easter egg hunt this weekend :)
